About the role

Reporting to the Transport Manager, this role will support the delivery of transport operational processes and delivery of excellent service to Spotlight stores and Customers. Ensure all paperwork and systems are completed for each vehicle being loaded and departing from the Distribution Centre DC. Furthermore, assist the Transport Team with the day to day transport deliveries across all lanes (Local, Linehaul, Rail)

 

 

What you will be doing

  • Ensure the team and all areas of the Distribution Centre (DC) are complying with safety protocols and report any Incident, Hazard, Accident as required
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external teams to solve any delivery issues
  • Perform transport operational duties including updating SCMS, preparing con notes, and ensuring trucks are dispatched with appropriate paperwork (as required).
  • Perform labelling duties (as required).
  • Comply to all company policies, team member agreement and standard operating procedures (SOPS)
  • Cover for other transport administrator in times of absence, leave etc.
  • Strive for higher levels of competence, continual improvement, productivity and occupational health and safety (OH&S).
  • Resolving pallet discrepancies, increasing pallet accurateness for all deliveries, linehauls and rail loads
  • Consolidate a report of all late arrivals/departures of local, linehaul and rail vehicles

 

 

About You

  • Demonstrated prior experience in a similar position
  • Experience with Retail or working at a Distribution Centre will be desirable
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to multi task in all aspects of this role
  • A positive attitude with the flexibility to take on additional tasks and to adapt to the work day as required
