Are you a seasoned financial accountant with a passion for retail?
Spotlight Retail Group, Australia’s leading specialty retailer, is seeking a dynamic Senior Financial Accountant to join our high-performing finance team.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for
internal and external stakeholders with in-depth technical understanding combined with demonstrated commercial awareness
What you'll do
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the external audit process
- Managing financial reporting and compliance for our international operations
- Preparation of IFRS 16 lease accounting calculations
- Support the month end financial close process, including preparing journals and performing reconciliations
- Driving process improvements and system enhancements
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results
What you'll bring
- Must be CA qualified with at least 5+ years of relevant experience
- Ideally with a Big-4 or Mid-Tier Audit environment background
- Strong financial accounting knowledge, including month-end close and AASP16
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for retail
